Brother of the Wolf Welcomes You

Walking the Red Road

The CWY (Tsalagi or Cherokee) have treated animals with respect through the ages. Wolf was revered because when "the wolf was at the door" it meant there was food inside! Although that phrase has a different meaning today the CWY people lived and worked in harmony with their 4-legged brothers, sharing the harvest. We at Brother of the Wolf continue that practice by sharing our skills with you and your dog in order to create harmony & balance in your home!

Come to the Pow-Wow
Columbus Day weekend will be an exciting time at the Powhatan Reservation in Rancocas. Indigenous Peoples of all Nations will be dancing, singing, cooking, and selling art, jewelry, and food to visitors of the juried art show on Saturday, Sunday and Monday! This event is usually held twice a year; Memorial Day weekend and Columbus Day weekend. See bison, wolves, and birds of prey as you take in the atmosphere and step back in time to when our People were strong and great in number.
We are still here.

Coyote waits. Coyote, the Trickster, will often wait until Wolf (Wahya) is finished eating or has carried a portion of his kill to the den. Then, Coyote will fill his belly & disappear into the hills. Is he sneaky or just plain smart? Sometimes, it makes more sense to do nothing at all. This makes sense to Coyote. And so Coyote waits.

Be they large or be they small;
Be they of short hair or long;
